A Digital Copy is a digital version of the full-length movie that you get when you own specially-marked Blu-ray™/DVD discs bearing the “Digital Copy” logo. Owning the digital version of the movie extends the enjoyment your Blu-ray™/DVD because it enables you to download or stream your movie to a computer, mobile device, Internet-connected TV, Blu-ray™ player or set-top box.
Your Digital Copy may be available on a disc included with your purchase or via redemption at www.UniversalDigitalCopy.com. Please see the insert in your packaging to identify which you have and for redemption instructions.
There are three ways to access your Digital Copy:
1. Disc
1) Insert the Digital Copy disc into your computer’s DVD drive
2) Follow the screen prompts to save the Digital Copy file to your computer
2. Online redemption and download
1) Go to the web site specified on the Digital Copy insert inside of your Blu-ray™ Disc/DVD’s packaging.
2) Select your desired Digital Copy download format.
3) When prompted, enter the redemption code found on the package insert.
4) Follow the screen prompts to download or stream your Digital Copy.
3. pocket BLU
1) Download the app from your tablet or smartphone’s app store or from pocketblu.com.
2) Launch the pocket BLU app.
3) In the application, select Digital Copy under the title you wish to redeem
4) Click the Redeem button and type in the redemption code from your insert. The Digital Copy will automatically start downloading.
Redeeming your Digital Copy via pocket BLU does not prevent you from redeeming from the web site or from a Digital Copy disc.
Codes that allow you to redeem Digital Copy are subject to expiration. See the back of package for details. To check if your Digital Copy has expired, visit NBCUCodes.com. Once you have redeemed your Digital Copy, most Digital Copy retailers allow you to download a file of the movie to your computer or other devices.
We recommend that you regularly back up your downloaded Digital Copy files to protect them.
Each redemption code allows you to redeem your Digital Copy with your choice of one retailer.
The Digital Copy website works as follows:
1. Launch a web browser on your computer and enter the address found on the insert enclosed in your packaging.
2. We recommend signing in or registering with www.UniversalHiDef.com to take advantage of upcoming offers that relate to your Digital Copy redemptions.
3. Select the retailer with whom you wish to redeem your Digital Copy.
4. Enter your unique Authorization Code from the package insert when prompted.
5. Follow the instructions to redeem your title.
6. Once you have redeemed your title, viewing methods will vary based upon the retailer you have chosen:

You Digital Copy redemption code is printed on an insert inside your Blu-ray™/DVD package.
An Internet connection is required for Digital Copy redemption. Please verify that you are connected to the Internet.
For web-based Digital Copy, the Digital Copy Application copies the computer video files to your computer from a server or authorizes your film with your On-Demand movie streaming company. The transfer time will vary depending on your Internet connection speed.
No. In order for the Digital Copy code to be verified, you must be connected to the Internet. You only need to be connected when you first transfer the movie to your computer, not each time you watch your Digital Copy, unless you redeem with an On-Demand movie streaming service.
Disc-based Digital Copy works as follows:
1. Insert your Digital Copy disc into a Mac® or PC computer.
2. Follow the instructions on the enclosed insert.
3. Select iTunes® or Windows Media® Format (Mac computers utilize iTunes only).
4. Enter your unique Redemption Code from the insert when prompted to redeem your Digital Copy.
◦ iTunes Digital Copy files can be viewed on your PC, Mac or iOS compatible device (iPhone®, iPod® touch, iPad™)
â—¦ WMV files may be viewed on your PC.
For disc-based Digital Copy, the Digital Copy Application copies the computer video files to your computer from the DVD. The transfer time will vary depending on your computer hardware, DVD-ROM drive, etc.
Ensure your drive has a DVD symbol; this is required to do the transfer of the Digital Copy.
If you have a valid DVD drive, the disc should auto-play and a splash screen allowing Launch Digital Copy should automatically load.
If the disc does not auto-play, either 1) your auto-run is disabled on your DVD-ROM drive or 2) a third party DVD player application (e.g. PowerDVD) is preventing the auto-run. In this case, follow these additional steps to manually load your menu: Go to My Computer > Double-Click the icon where your DVD Drive is displayed.
pocket BLU Digital Copy works as follows:
1. Download pocket BLU to your mobile device, tablet, or PC/Mac from pocketblu.com.
2. Run the application and find the title you wish to redeem your Digital Copy for.
3. Select Digital Copy from the content listing and press the Redeem button.
4. Enter your unique Authorization Code from the insert when prompted.
5. Your download will begin immediately if you are connected to the Internet. If you are running on a mobile network, you will be prompted if you wish to proceed, and can restart your download at any time.
6. Your download time will vary based on your connection speed.
There is no limit to the number of times you can watch your Digital Copy. You may watch your movie as much as you like.
No, once the transfer is complete you no longer need your Digital Copy disc and can enjoy your movie whenever you like.
For the Windows Media® format: Yes, as long as you did not delete the Windows Media® file from your computer.
For the iTunes format: Yes, standard iTunes usage rules apply.
For Amazon.com: Yes, standard Amazon Instant Video usage rules apply.
For the pocket BLU format: Yes, you can download as long as the expiration date has not passed.
Digital Copy can be downloaded, streamed, or both – depending on the format you choose to redeem.
